Our engineering group not only assists management in seeking the most efficient methods to produce parts, but also participates in joint engineering efforts with customers, aiding them in creating cost effective designs. This chassis was designed and animated using solid modeling. Solid modeling allows design engineering to analyze and verify the design before prototypes are manufactured.

Drawings and DXF/IGES/STEP files are generated from CAD models in preparation for CNC work center programming.

Our computer system directly links our mechanical engineers to our machine programmers, which enhances our ability to solve problems quickly, thus reducing costly down time.
CAD DESIGN J. Kittredge & Sons design engineering department uses Pro/ENGINEER and AutoCAD software to model in solids, and to create all drawings required to manufacture assemblies. Solid modeling allows the engineers to analyze and verify the design before a prototype is ever produced. This shortens the design cycle and produces a higher quality assembly. CAD database transfers, both import and export, are processed using STEP/DXF/IGES translators. These universal formats have the capability to translate most database platforms with extreme accuracy.

PROCESSING J. Kittredge & Sons manufacturing engineering department uses JobBOSS software for the manufacturing process control. JobBOSS is the leading PC based software for manufacturing. Manufacturing engineering develops process sheets, travelers, and specifications utilizing JobBOSS. These documents provide all personnel with specific instructions for the complete manufacture of all parts and assemblies. JobBOSS also provides management with real-time tracking and control of all operations.
